While there’s no possible way for one weekend to cover the vast wealth of Yoga Philosophy, we believe there is an essential foundational knowledge that 300 Hour trained teachers should have. This module will address the question of “why?”. Why study Philosophy? Why teach it? Why incorporate it into your asana instruction? We will look at the 3 paths of Yoga as discussed in the Bhagavad Gita: Karma, Bhakti and Jnana, and will explore how the Gita views and manages our very human traits through the study of the Gunas and Dharma. You will learn practical skills to help you confidently offer concise and meaningful Dharma talks that move your students with words.
